The problem

Operators are making life-critical decisions across six disconnected feeds.

The challenge in defence isn't a lack of data, it's too much data, siloed across systems that can't share context, with information assurance rules that prevent naive integration. The result: operators manually correlating feeds under time pressure, with no replay, no audit trail, and no way to learn from after-action review.

Defence and GovTech software operates where the stakes are absolute. 7Code builds platforms that fuse multi-domain intelligence (radar, comms, SIGINT, structured intel), enforce strict information-assurance controls, and give operators the clarity they need under pressure, without the cognitive load of six disjointed screens. Recent work: Revote, the remote electronic voting platform for the European Parliament (with Eurel International, released May 2023).

What we build

Capabilities in Defence & Security

Multi-domain Fusion

Radar, comms, SIGINT, and structured intelligence fused into one queryable record store, with role-based redaction at the data layer, not the UI.

Information Assurance

Cross-domain solutions, data tagging, need-to-know enforcement, and IA accreditation support. We work alongside your security team from day one.

Operator Interface Design

Calm, deliberate UI designed for high-stakes, time-pressured operation. One map, one timeline, one detail panel. We eliminate tabs, not data.

After-action Review

Frame-accurate replay of every operation, with annotation tools for commanders and trainers. Every decision becomes a learning opportunity.

Predictive Analytics

Pattern-of-life modelling, anomaly detection, and threat scoring built on classified data with the appropriate access controls throughout the pipeline.

Systems Integration

Legacy system integration, protocol translation, and command-and-control interoperability across coalition and joint force environments.

How we work

Our approach in Defence & Security

Every engagement follows this sequence, adapted to your constraints, not the other way around.

01

Security architecture before everything

IA controls, data classification schema, and access control model are defined and reviewed by your security team before any feature work begins.

02

Operator research in context

We observe operators in realistic scenarios, not requirements workshops. The cognitive load analysis shapes every UI decision.

03

Accreditation-ready from sprint one

Evidence packages, audit logs, and security documentation are generated as part of the build process, not assembled retrospectively before the assessment.

Frequently asked

Questions teams ask before they start

Do you work with classified data and accredited environments?

We design to information-assurance standards (NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, MoD Secure-by-Design) and work alongside the client's accreditation authority from week one. For the European Parliament's Revote remote-voting platform, our CTO travelled to Brussels to validate the system on the live network under EP security policy. We don't bolt accreditation on at the end, evidence packages and audit logs are part of the build.

Can you build for E-Government / civic-tech use cases?

Yes, Revote (remote electronic voting for Members of the European Parliament, partnered with Eurel International) shipped in eight months on the EP network. We've designed multi-device authentication, audit-grade vote handling, and the Plenary / Committee / Dashboard surfaces governments and parliaments require.

What does 'multi-domain fusion' mean for defence?

Radar, comms, SIGINT, and structured intelligence fused into one queryable record store, with role-based redaction enforced at the data layer (not the UI). Operators see one map, one timeline, one detail panel, all data, no tabs. We replace six disconnected screens with a single pane of glass.

Do you handle coalition and joint-force interoperability?

Yes. Legacy system integration, protocol translation, and command-and-control interoperability across coalition and joint environments are part of how we approach defence systems integration. We work with whatever the existing tactical and strategic comms stack imposes, not what we'd prefer to build greenfield.

How quickly can a defence / GovTech project move?

Faster than most teams expect. Revote shipped in eight months end-to-end (1 mo discovery + 1 mo PoC + 4 mo build + 2 mo UAT) on a high-security European Parliament network. We move at proof-of-concept pace with accreditation-ready evidence collected throughout, not as a final-phase scramble.
